On Sunday 28th October 2012, the Hampshire Bridal Boot Sale opened its doors to
all brides, past, present & future, on the hunt for, or to sell on, the perfect
wedding finishing touches.
At Brockenhurst Village Hall, brides-to-be arrived in their droves to peruse newly-weds'
stalls and enjoy a spot of afternoon tea at the Smallpiece of Cake pop-up tea rooms.
Not only did we have fab local couples setting up shop, with everything from beach
themes to Alice in Wonderland, but also some local retailers including vintage treasure
troves Hepwrights and What Alice Found, plus With Love from Hetty & Dave
with gorgeous leather accessories and gifts, Rosie Lea Bakery and Craftizan showing brides
and hens how to DIY with bunting, fabric wreaths and fascinators. We also had the ever
soulful Freddie and the Freeloaders provide live music for our visitors.
It really was a great day - I bagged many a bargain myself! We're also thrilled to announce
that HBBS will open its doors again in the spring, on Sunday 3rd February 2013 at
Hill Place, Swanmore - one of Hampshire's most beautiful wedding venues.
Special mention too must go to my HBBS co-founder and organiser, Karen - watch
this space for more events in your area! Plus, our fabulous social media guru
Jessica and the talents of Mr James S-C who designed our logo and all the
beautifully retro artwork we're amassing. Here's to a great team!
